We have a Radiology department. The procedure is quick and painless and is intended to “photograph” the inside of your body, especially your bones and organs. X-rays are used to detect bone fractures and infections, reveal evidence of arthritis, osteoporosis, bone cancer, and tumor formation.

X-rays also allow examining: The lungs, possible infections and conditions such as pneumonia, tuberculosis or lung cancer, the heart, detect breast cancer, since mammography is a special type of X-ray that allows you to see the breast tissue as well as also detect digestive system problems or if there is some type of obstruction in the blood vessels.

It is a way of looking inside the body using a flexible probe that has a small camera and a light on the end. This instrument is called an endoscope and is used to:

• Observe in detail an area inside the body
• Take samples of abnormal tissues
• Treat certain diseases
• Remove tumors
• Stop a bleed
• Remove foreign bodies (such as food stuck in the esophagus, the tube that connects the throat to the stomach)
